Finland100’s most important industry event MPD gains Top Speakers

When Helsinki is ”slushy” with Slush, Finland can already rejoice at gaining top speakers for the most important industry event of Finland100 celebrations, the MPD, taking place in Tampere at the beginning of the summer. Manufacturing Performance Days 2017 will welcome world class speakers to Tampere, from both abroad and Finland. Karl-Heinz Land, Ralf-Michael Franke, Henrik Ehrnrooth and Kimmo Alkio all represent the absolute top expertise and top companies in their own fields.

MPD will be organized in Tampere on 29-31 May 2017. The theme is Towards Outcome Economy. MPD will enjoy a uniquely high profile to honour centenarian Finland. MPD is proud to present the first group of top level speakers:

Karl-Heinz Land is known as the Digital Darwinist & Evangelist. He is CEO of neuland, which was recently recognized as Germany’s best brand for industry 4.0 consultancy. Land is one of Europe’s most visible experts and debaters when it comes to digitalisation. Land contributed to transform Oracle from a small company into a giant. He emphasizes the need for a digital vision for companies to grow, Apple, Microsoft, and Oracle as his examples.

Ralf-Michael Franke has since 2014 led Siemens Factory Automation Business Unit, which shapes global automation markets and trends as the industry’s leading supplier. Franke’s vision of the development and direction of industry automation has transformed Siemens’s automation solutions to a basis for also digitalisation, all the way to the industry 4.0 vision. Franke was a major developer of the Amberg plant with numerous awards.

Kimmo Alkio has acted as CEO of Tieto Corporation since July 2011. Alkio has an extensive experience from executive positions in both domestic and international technology companies. Prior to Tieto Alkio acted for instance as CEO of F-Secure Corporation and Vice President at Nokia Networks. Alkio has boldly modernised Tieto and taken the company towards digital services, industrial internet, health care solutions, and cloud services.

Henrik Ehrnrooth has acted as CEO of KONE Corporation since April 2014. Prior to that, since 2009, Ehrnrooth acted as KONE’s Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Board. Ehrnrooth is one of the most influential individuals in the Finnish industry, with numerous key positions of trust. Ehrnrooth also worked for Goldman Sachs from 1998–2009, most recently as Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division.
