FIIF Event: Private Wireless Networks and Edge Computing as Enablers for Industrial Digitalization

FIIF Event: Private Wireless Networks and Edge Computing as Enablers for Industrial Digitalization takes place Nov. 30th Tampere (Platform 6, Åkerlundinkatu 8) at 9:00-12:30 and online.

Private wireless networks and edge computing are foundational technologies in the ongoing Industry 4.0 and Industrial Metaverse change. They are creating radically new opportunities for safer, more productive and more sustainable industrial operations. Benefits of reliable, low latency network and local data processing enable next generation solutions in several areas like remote operations, predictive maintenance, real-time quality control, robotics and AGVs, trainings and safety.

In this FIIF event we will look at private networks and edge computing from different angles, like that of a technology provider (Nokia), an operator (Telia), a research organisation (VTT), and several industry customers.

Program:

”Private wireless and edge as enablers for industrial digitalization”, Kirsi Leppä/Nokia

”Research and learnings on applying 5G and edge computing for underground mining automation (NGMining project)”, Daniel Pakkala/VTT

”Private network use cases with  Finnish industrial customers”, Marko Lepola/Telia

”Real-time extended reality multimedia – instant immersive experiences for industries”,  Toni Kairavuo/Nokia

The event is free for FIIF partners (list of FIIF companies here). Others are entitled to one introductory visit. Register for the event here.
