100. Year started, bring on Ideas! MPIDEA gains Ministerial Jury and top Prize

The Finnish Industry’s great idea competition for creating 100 000 jobs will gain a top level Jury and Prize. Minister of Labor Jari Lindström has kindly promised to serve as the Chairman of the Jury. The Jury will represent the absolute top level experts of Finnish industry and economy. The Main Prize is access to the growth accelerator ReNew Growth of McKinsey & Company, the world’s most respected consultancy.

MPIDEA100 000 is waiting for proposals! One can participate in the competition by 15 February 2017 with any idea, product, or service, which will create more jobs to Finland. The participation form and the Rules of the competition can be found at www.mpdays.com.

The Jury will first select 10 best proposals, which will be widely and visibly presented in public. Three best proposals can then present themselves at the Manufacturing Performance Days 2017 (MPD) industrial event at Tampere 29-31 May 2017, where also the winner will be announced. MPD2017 is the official digitizing industry celebration event in “Finland 100 years” program led by Prime Minister’s Office.

The participating ideas are reviewed by an exceptionally high-level Jury due to the Finnish independence celebrations. ”We are very glad that we have received such a high-level and diverse Jury for our competition. Minister of Labor Jari Lindström serving as the Chairman of the Jury is a special honor for us”, thanks Tomas Hedenborg, Chairman of the MPD Organization Committee.

”All members of the Jury represent their own fields’ top expertise in the rapidly changing society. Thus the Jury can competently estimate how each proposal would create jobs and productivity for the benefit of the entire Finland”, emphasizes Hedenborg. The Jury is:

The Main Prize is offered by McKinsey, the most respected consultancy in the world. The winner of the competition is invited to McKinsey’s highly esteemed strategic growth accelerator, ReNew Growth. The MPIDEA competition, launched by DIMECC Ltd, has been accompanied by partners such as the first initiator Siemens, McKinsey, the Federation of Finnish Technology Industries, Tieto and Fastems.
