Mixed Fleet research project studies how autonomous machines and human workers or manually operated machines are working together in the same work flow. Another research target is optimizing work site operations by combination of machines of different types and models and machines from various manufacturers.
The main research topics are work management between humans and machines taking into accoint human behaviour in the new processes, methods for quickly flexible customization and programming of machine groups, safety requirements and situational awareness in mixed fleet environments.
