Nordic Aviation Resilience (NAR) is a Nordic Innovation–funded project strengthening airports’ ability to operate safely and reliably every day of the year. The project accelerates the transition from labour‑intensive airport maintenance to resilient, autonomous and remote‑controlled operations, starting with runway and airfield maintenance.
Through real‑world pilots at Nordic airports, NAR designs and validates next‑generation autonomous solutions that remain functional even when satellite positioning is degraded or unavailable. By focusing on practical deployment, scalability and a clear rollout path, the project supports more robust day‑to‑day operations and positions the Nordics at the forefront of future‑ready airport infrastructure.
